All things music and creative!

The St. Louis Renaissance Faire is in full swing. As cooler weather moves in, the ambiance and NRG will surely take on a whole new level of good times.

The Greenleaf Singers have settled into a solid groove as we entertain patrons and cast alike at the St. Louis Renaissance Faire (there are two weekends left to hear their delightfully, dulcet voices) and in our preparations for the holiday concert season.

I’m including links (another shameless marketing plug) to my recently released CD and single as I’m sure some of you forgot to check them out from last month’s newsletter.

• What Were You Thinking?

A few months ago I mentioned a project regarding Seasonal Scriptures in Song. This past month, I’ve added another original composition into the mix, God’s Promise, which is based on Psalm 119:41 & 50. The music makes for learning and remembering the text quite easy. Several weeks ago, after the first introduction of the song at Good Shepherd, I sang the tune, with the text, during the whole duration of my twenty-one mile ride (cycling). I dare say, the project may just be working.

Living Life to the +Plus!

This month, I’m sharing a simple image that celebrates the season of autumn and encourages you to take back your health:

Wash your face!
Martin Luther said “When you wash your face, remember your baptism.” So, for many of us, this very simple ritual can be turned into a moment of Holy Ground, God’s presence in our lives as we are daily washed clean of all our sin through the life, death, and resurrection of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. What a great way to start your day, to have a new beginning, strengthened to move forward through what comes your way.
