All things music and creative!

Greenleaf rehearsals have begun. I am thrilled to finally begin a season with a full group of sixteen members. We have a great program set for the holiday season, with some familiar tunes as well as a few new-to-the-group selections. Keep on the lookout for dates and times of our performances, which kick off the week after Thanksgiving, via the groups Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Greenleaf-Singers/131953920169824) and our website (www.greenleafsingers.com).

For many of my church music colleagues, rehearsals and preparations have begun as our choirs, bell ensembles, instrumental groups, etc. gear up for a new church music season. The life of a church musician is never dull and without activity. I pray for blessings of health and NRG for all those devoted to planning, preparing, and rehearsing music and the like for worship and sacred celebrations.

Living Life to the +Plus!

This month’s tip for taking one simple step to harmonious health is all about remembering the health of our children as they begin a new school year:

Here is the fourth of the Five Principles of Living and Passing on Faith:

Principle Four: Faith is caught more than it is taught.
Where is faith taught? Anywhere you are. How is faith caught? Simply
put, we let others (our children, our friends, our co-workers, etc.)
see us reading from Scripture and praying as we are directed in
              Deuteronomy 6:4-9:

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your
might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them
when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie
down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and
they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the
doorposts of your house and on your gates."

The message, which is taught, becomes interwoven into the fabric of our
              daily living.
