April 2015 - Vol. 1 - No. 3

Greetings one and all!!

I hope each of you enjoyed reading the first two issues of “Theodore Talks” and found it to be a useful means of receiving updates and news of my vocational activities. April’s issue is coming to you rather late as the beginning of the month fell around Easter. So, without further delay, here is issue No.3 of “Theodore Talks.”

All things music and creative!

Currently, I am working on a song based on a text written by my mother, which incorporates the element of living in God’s love through heart, mind and spirit.

The Greenleaf Singers began rehearsals in preparation for singing at three weekends of the St. Louis Renaissance Faire. We are putting together two different stage sets this year in order to provide variety to repeat attenders of our performances. On top of that, we are back to our full contingent of sixteen singers. However, our new soprano and tenor, who joined in the fall, have a great deal of music to learn by opening weekend.

Speaking of opening weekend, I will again be portraying Francois I, King of France, for the St. Louis Renaissance Faire (a role I’ve held since 2002). They’ve even extended the run by adding a fifth weekend. Faire opens May 16th and 17th and goes through June 13th and 14th. If you are in the area, come out and join in the merriment and fun as you go back in time to Renaissance France.

As mentioned in the last newsletter, here is the first of the Five Principles of Living and Passing on Faith:

Principle One: Faith is formed by the power of the Holy Spirit through personal, trusted relationships – often in our own homes.

As Jesus tells the man who had been possessed with demons, whom
he cured, we too are called to "Go home to your friends and tell them
how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy
               on you." (Mark 5:19)

So, no matter where your home may be or with whom you have a
personal, trusted relationship, pray and be in God's Word as you
take part in Caring Conversations, Devotions, Service, and Rituals
               and Traditions.
